QUATTRO CANTI AND PRETORIA Square
The Teatro Massimo, which is listed as the largest theater in Italy and one of the largest in Europe, is one of the major symbols, which represents the city of Palermo.
The Politeama Theatre is the home of the Sicilian Symphonic Orchestra, and, after the Teatro Massimo, is the second most important theatre of Palermo

"Quattro Canti" (Litterally means "The four corners") is the name of an octagonal square at the intersection of two main roads of Palermo: via Maqueda and the Cassaro, now the Via Vittorio Emanuele (the ancient way of phoenician origin, connecting the acropolis and the Palace of the Normans to the sea), to about half of their length.
Piazza Pretoria also known as "Square of Shame" is on the borderline of the district of Kalsa, near the corner of Cassaro with via Maqueda, just a few meters from the Quattro Canti, the exact center of the city of Palermo's history

Mondello is a district and tourist resort of Palermo, part of the VII Region, enclosed by Monte Pellegrino and Monte Gallo. Detached from the city by the Parco della Favorita, can be reached by many avenues of real trees, or through secondary links. The area is renowned for its huge beach, which is one of the beaches most areas of Sicily, for its many art nouveau villas, known as the best expression of Art Nouveau in Italy, and for sites of historical interest.
